This picture has a particular impact on the eye, it catches it right away when you see it as a thumbnail, then you click on it 'cause you can't deal with it another way.
It's like a fantasy story that begins, at first sight the tree, then the background pops out and looks like cotton.
Finally the blue blue sky which has a sculpting effect on the tree and gives, in my opinion, all the strength of the picture.

Since the beginning the sky is there it's like an independant actor working as to give the tree a stunning effect, just like a technician working for the light of a movie, he's there but you don't see him at all.

I really appreciate this picture though I can't see the layers, they are just perfectly merged.

You did a great work, with a real perfectionnist touch, It's the kind of work that has to be followed as an example of pro work.

It's always a great joy for me, seeing someone that on a first moment impresed and inspired me, keep the hability of call my atention with his works. No matter how many times.
When i see such artworks with all that visual force, beautiness, poetry, care onto it and so meaninful at the same time, Gilad always gets to remind me why he is one of the artists that had encouraged me that much to try hard on one of the most difficult things i had tried on photography, infrared.
And of course, the same just can be said about the rest of his works.
It's my modest opinion but, he's just an artist really worth my respect.

He is definitely worth respect. Oh, if only one day I can be half as good!

there's one great tip for being half as good or even more If you like something, do not never think you can't do it and try untill you get it, no matter how hard or difficult

Gilad your vision is totally different.

In thumb its seems like a Atomic Blast... but full view totally opposite...

Also tell us more about the location where you clicked it?

No offense or not trying to sound like an old cranky man, but critiques have a word limit for a good reason. This is pretty much a comment with a rating. Critiques were designed to help an artist improve on their piece, not hear 100% glory. They get that from the comments

i agree with =Axertion

Gilad is my favorite photographer... Why? i donot want to explain... His third eye seeing this world differently... well this is my first critique which i have given on gilad's deviation... which is full of appreciation and best wishes...

I don't want to give him suggestion because his work is beyond our imagination as i express my first expression oO in my critique (Atomic Blast ), The specialty of Gilad's work is... he already explained his work with poetry... which i simply loved it <3

From many of the deviations I see on my inbox, this one standed out from the crowd. The composition is nearly perfect, the cropping suits the whole mood, and the tehnique used is amazing. Perhaps it would have looked a lot better without a more clear background, but the whole scene makes the Saint Tree to catch the attention. Really well done!

From my point of view, capturing the scene as it is had to be a challenging task, since all the elements on the composite blends perfectly together, and the small cloud above the tree representing the main deviation title is simply beautiful.

Definitely one of my fav pieces from `gilad so far.

All the ppl that commented said : it looks peaceful and beautiful well I'll not disagree it does look beautiful but I instantly saw the mushroom cloud of an Atomic Bomb ... with a touch of manipulation would be exactly like that ... so I ask for ur permission to modify it a bit

Love trees. Who wouldn't after seeing such a photo ... although there is something about the grass and the trees in the background that I don't like as much as the tree in the limelight and the cloud. I'd prefer it if they were as sharp as the latter, but I'm guessing that's the effect of the infra red filter you used.

Capturing photo nonetheless. The composition and the cloud as an unusual detail make it really stand out.
