Yeah, but now it's pretty much a forgone conclusion, at least from our perspective. Zielo will get bored, decide it's time to win, and either turn everyone into a soulless or wipe them from existence. Now the tension's kinda gone, and the story's not so much "can the protagonists win and how?" so much as "how long until diabolus-ex-machina kicks in?"
By making the villain omnipotent, you've created an insurmountable evil.

That's the point
If "everyone's perspective" is the assumption that you KNOW how its going to end, you don't take into account anything that's happened in the past issues. None of the tension is gone, hell its increased tenfold because the main heroes have powers that are growing and are unstable. They have pieces of their souls missing..why? Could it be that Zielo...is afraid of what they will be in full power?? And for such immature potential gods, how can they grow as characters? As..heroes? How will they overcome Zielo? etc etc-- the questions can go on!
Also calling Zielo an ex-machina not only ignores any lore the story's put forth, but what did you expect from a GOD? That he'd have a really obvious weakness? Now that would be boring to read. It's tense because he's an unpredictable villain that has an overpowering ability that makes him the worst threat possible. He GETS bored, which is why he plays games to entertain himself. This is a being that has lived for eternity, he knows better than to just "welp im bored time to destroy everything lawl". He isn't an object meant to extend the story, HE IS why the plot becomes so deep, and why as we delve deeper into the lore the suspense rises.
From my perspective, I don't think you're looking at the big picture, but instead anxious because he could be handled poorly. But the story's proven that he's been handled well as a character so far, and has even given the main heroes a connection to a much bigger lineage than anything they ever thought of. He may be "insurmountable" and "omnipotent", but he's not a mary sue.
