I used to go outsideDuring the cold winter nights
Just to stare at the stars
Their light used to give me
All the hope I needed
Now I stay inside
Staring at the nothingness
Wrapped in darkness
Wondering what went wrong
Wondering what happened
To that kid I used to be
Wondering why can't the stars
Give me any hope anymore

I love looking up t the stars to...to me they are like the Sentinels of Eternity...they are always there, watching, with their eternally-burning starlight.

I still look at the stars when i walk home from a friends house at night. I like to try to find the constilations my curfew is 9:00 on school nights and now that it's winter, Β it gets dark at like 5 haha

Indeed, life does change us... People change all the time, and sometimes, we don't even realize it.
Maybe, in terms of the poem, the stars don't give you hope anymore because you've lost hope. In that darkness, you can't see stars. When you're sad and you've lost hope, the things you find beautiful don't seem so beautiful anymore. It's a nice poem, though.
