I know. If little things get you that angry, you probably will be that person who will never be happy. The fact that he was yelling over the phone was sad enough.

Had those people before. heck I got called a racist for asking for ID from the customer and his friend (Its State Law if you come in with a friend and both look under 30) for tobacco products. But hey I want to keep my job and stay out of jail.

People should know better, but somehow they just don't. Its not racist to ask for ID if you ask everyone.

This is just like restaurants not giving you the correct order. I asked for a hamburger, they gave me a hot dog!

A F***ING HOT DOG!!! You see, this is the reason why I would consider staying home forever, BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE YOU TRUST!!

GhastlyRune In reply to Deonjr15 [2015-05-14 17:51:43 +0000 UTC]

Well, when you get the wrong order, there are very many different reasons to why it happened. Miscommunication between worker and customer, accidents, new employees. Just understand that we don't mean to give you an incorrect order, it is very unlikely for someone to try to do something in spite to your order, because most restaurant workers want to avoid issues and making customers unhappy. And I'd you are nice to us when we make mistakes and understand the issue calmly, we will work faster and better to correct. Hell, I do that and even give you coupons because I feel bad when I mess up at work. It might not have been my fault, but I still feel guilt for upset customers.

Wahhh, I got pickles on my sandwich boohoohoo
Fricken--pick them off dude.
Calm your damn titties and go take a yoga class if your fuse is lighting over a pickle

People like that need to do everyone a favor and not go out in public when they wake up on the wrong side of the bed >__>

GhastlyRune In reply to Hiyukee [2015-05-14 17:55:41 +0000 UTC]

Its like, I understand that the pickles can ruin a sandwich if you hate pickles. I'm the same why, I hate pickles and hate how they make my buns taste. But when this happens to me, I don't be a jerk about it. Just because you have a butt does not mean you have to be one. Especially when someone offers to correct it and more next time you came in. But, I guess free food isn't good enough, I should have called a doctor instead to remove that stick out of his ass. (:

I feel you man. Theater tech is way too similar in these ways... Except you have to deal with the asses face to face.
"Yeah, that new trainee who's first day on the job bumped into me and made me spill some of my drink, so I'm going to yell at you specifically for it even though you had nothing to do with it and it barely is much of a big deal."
"...Go die =0="

GhastlyRune In reply to DJKeala [2015-05-14 14:34:37 +0000 UTC]

Oh man, I feel ya. I dealt with one of these kind of people in person once as asked well, its so much harder to do. It was closer to when I first got my job, about a year and a half ago, this guy got extremely mad that I threw away his tray that had been sitting alone for an hour and was piled up in a way that made it look like trash. He yelled at me for too long until storming out of the store. As a new employee at the time, I was very upset.

DJKeala In reply to GhastlyRune [2015-05-14 19:47:52 +0000 UTC]

Augh. You're always going to have one of them at least ever so often. It's insufferable, but sometimes you gotta just deal with it.... SOMETIMES.

GhastlyRune In reply to DJKeala [2015-05-17 03:25:50 +0000 UTC]

But that's just how life works, we get things we like as well as things we don't like. Though, the more we find these problem people, the more we learn to deal with them, which makes it easier next time we encounter one.

Turoxy [2015-05-14 13:19:51 +0000 UTC]

Omg THOSE people. I just want them to leave. On Tuesday I had so many difficult people holy shit, I was to the point that I just gave them free food if they acted bitchy about something. "16.50? Seriously those prices are crazy" like wtf are you doing here In the first place if you don't want to PAY? Get the fuck out

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

GhastlyRune In reply to Turoxy [2015-05-14 13:49:05 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that always blows my mind. People consistently try to wiggle their ways out of paying in the wrong ways. If you don't want to sped money, don't eat out, because that is always expensive. But I'd you really want to keep eating out, invest time in coupons, not complaints to try and take advantage of employees. I sure hope this man doesn't come back to my store though. I don't actually see how his threat of not coming was a threat, because its not like I want people like him visiting my store anyway. Especially since he tried making me sound like I did it on purpose to him in spite, when most likely I was cleaning tables or doing manager duties, which all do not even put me near the kitchen or drive through window. People are ridiculous.

Turoxy In reply to GhastlyRune [2015-05-14 15:23:19 +0000 UTC]

I know right? Like I don't give a single fuck if you come back or not, actually, just don't. Bitchy people, it does not affect me at all if you go somewhere else, I DONT CAAAAARE. I think it's funny that people think our whole world is going to collapse if they don't come back. Like some fucking lady she came in and got a shit ton of food. And she looked at me like she was surprised, it got so bad to the point I had to give her 20% off and 3 free drinks. She was like "next time I'm going to chipotle" hoe. HOE chipotle is even MORE expensive you stupid bitch...

GhastlyRune In reply to Turoxy [2015-05-14 18:03:54 +0000 UTC]

People are just plain stupid. Its upsetting that we have people like this living on the same planet. But, if she wants to pay more, let her pay more, she's no one special so she should not be getting discounts for bitchieness.

I have had to ask people to leave a few times for being rude. I get put in charge of cash most of the time but when I don't I have to go in the rescue of my coworkers.

GhastlyRune In reply to Turoxy [2015-05-14 19:03:12 +0000 UTC]

You're lucky you can ask them to leave. Even when I on charge, I am not allowed to ask people to leave for rudeness. Only if they are breaking rules like solicitation, or such

Turoxy In reply to GhastlyRune [2015-05-14 19:27:47 +0000 UTC]

The thing is. It's always teenagers or 40 year olds they try to harass the coworkers with intimidation. That's when I kick them out

GhastlyRune In reply to Turoxy [2015-05-17 03:29:08 +0000 UTC]

I've noticed that the only people I struggle with at work are people older than me. Its like anything 40+ in years most often gets cranky and easily upset over little things. I like the 17 to early 30's age groups, they can be easier to deal with, and I occasionally make friends with them.

That's so true, I hate 40 year olds most are fucking jerks, usually above 60 are very sweet but you know. Gotta deal with the assholes of the world

Just take the pickles off. He'll be fine. I would've gone to his house and beat the s*it out of that guy if I had a call like that.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

GhastlyRune In reply to Roro102900 [2015-05-14 13:42:05 +0000 UTC]

Well, I like my job, so I'm not going to beat anyone for real. But I sure as hell will hope the worst for him. Like, if a place ever messes up a small thing like that, don't blow up like that. That made me twice as mad last night because that was out of line to do, targetting me like I'm the horrible person who purposely did that, even though I try my hardest and just finished chasing two cars to return their correct orders before his call.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Roro102900 In reply to GhastlyRune [2015-05-14 19:04:01 +0000 UTC]

I was using sarcasm when I said I would beat him. But yeah. Actually, a similar thing is happening to me at least once everyday. Someone was yelling at me for something very small. Then other people were doing it, but she wasn't yelling at them. If people use a bad attitude on me, even if they didn't mean it, my day goes a lot worse, and I think about that bad time at least for the rest of the day.
