Latest 3D model I did for Palisades. I've always loved shockwaves character but I've never been fortunate enough to own the toy

That is so kickass, Shockwave is one of my favorite tfs. I was looking for a G1 toy of him on ebay, but they're going for a fortune right now...

I'm not sure, but I think I had the toy. There were two versions. One was grey and one was purple. One of them was a a ripoff toy (but exactly the same except for the colour). I can't remember which one was the fakey, but I had the grey one.
You could put batteries inside it, pull his trigger and his arm/gun would light up and make funky laser sounds.
Unfortunately, over time, it broke - and over even more time it disappeared off the face of the planet (probably due to my little brother)

Yes, the gray one was the knockoff Transformer. Many Japanese versions were made, and that was one of them.

I'm almost certain that the original Shockwave was the purple toy. I do remember seeing the the gray one before the purple one was around, but I don't think it was a licensed Transformers product.

are you sure it wasnt from the origanal company who made him.. cause he was onea the toys that didnt originate from Takara (others were jetfire and wheeljack) Hasbro just gathered up all the random japenese transforming robots they could find and put em all under the name transformers... most of them were made by takara, hence the continued relationship between the two companies.
