Short photoshoot under the pouring rain (again!) but the result worth all efforts! Location is love *o* It was great to be able to wear SaiMono costumes again and take outdoor pictures in such a beautiful place.kuroru as Shurei Hong novels ver.

Is this the "novels ver" you mentioned in your description?
The details are different from this same dress in the anime, like the pearl-trimmed ruffles on the "collar", the applique on the blue fabric, the positioning of the peony on the hair, etc.
About details ... I absolutely 
Apart from those mentioned above, there's the jewellery on her hair!
Every single flower, gem stone, shape of the gold ornaments are faithfully replicated ...
so much so I wonder if you actually counted the number of beads in each segment?! haha!
On beads: the strings of jewellery that are supposed to dangle on both sides of her face?
well ... they don't dangle! ^_^
Is it because the tension of the thread is too tight?
Or perhaps you threaded the beads with wires?
Oh, a trivial thing -- when I first looked at this photograph, I thought it strange that there were no earrings.
Then I realized that the reference picture is without earrings too ...
The fastidious attention to details, the effort (did you make that lovely peony too?), the workmanship (that includes the beautiful sewing of the appliques), the sheer "authenticity" of this cosplay is mind-blowing!
And the model is lovely too! Agree with earlier comment that you look like a doll!

Yep, this illust is the one we took as a reference. I think this cosplay was made before SM2 where Shurei got the dress styled after Kairi Yura's illustration. Anime version is not that detailed and lack traditional complexity distinctive for Chinese women costume.
Never thought about counting the beads, really XD
I can recall that it was rather complictaed to find all the shapes and sizes we needed, so some beads and parts of the headdress are custom made, not to mention the entire crown thing, flowers and sticks. Yep, we bought fake peony and painted it.
haha maybe bc we didn't care that much this time XD On the other photos you won't see any tension.
There're no any wires inside, just a see-trough special jewelery string which helps the whole contraction stay in one piece and not get blown away by the wind due its lightweight. It was windy and rainy that day, so maybe the bad weather played its trick on poor crown XD
