Balance on the belly
sculpture made in palisander wood from Madagascar (palisandre foncé)

I brought back the timber in 2000 after having lived a year in Madagascar. It lay im my workshop for many years as I considered it very special. Lately I started working on the balance on the belly. The wood is extraordinarly hard and brittle but wonderful to polish. The surface is worked until 1000 grains.
Size is 48 x 19 x 18 cm
