In the book he demanded all of her possessions in exchange for the Nutcracker's safety.

Shows that his stomach was more in control for the original story then the movie, right?

Oddly enough, the first thing I would have probably thought if I saw the Mouseking would be "aren't you a little far from the city?"

He looks so much like Sullivan from Secret of NIMH. xD

He does seem a bit more rat-like than a mouse going by his body alone.

His size, but normal would be fun. Just pick him up by the tail.

Deja freaking vu. I remember seeing this when I was 5 years old. Shoot, that was last time I ever saw it. My memory is quite hazy but don't you see where the Nutcracker stabs him sometime in this movie? That's the big thing I remember. Thank you so much for posting this!

No problem. The show is posted on Youtube.
Yes the Mouseking is slain by the Nutcacker but you don't see it. You just hear him fall from the tree and the doll jumps down with blood on his sword.. nice kid movie huh XD

I though so, I think that one part made me remember the movie. For some reason it was always the violent parts of kid movies back then I loved the most. Today's kid movies are just too corny. At least that's my opinion. Kids today have no idea what they're missing.

Can't agree with you more there. The show is like 20 years old and I still like viewing it every year.

In a way I actually forgot about it until I saw the pictures. Just seeing them brought back the memory. The only time I ever saw it was in 94' and I was 5 years old then. I thought it was an amazing thing I've ever seen.

Yeah, same here. He's my favorite version of the mouse king actually. And who can resist that sneaky grin on the red eye chubby mouse?

I can't XD He reminds me of my beloved pet mouse, whose name was Mr. Portly. My baby chunky monkey would sit on my shoulder and came out for me when I yelled Din-din. Very smart little creatures..
Glad you liked the screen shot. I have another screen capture of him in mind that I might post here.
