Melissa is the leader of Yosuga gym (Sinnoh). As far as I know there's no official picture of her... so I just used my imagination and a tiny sprite from P/D. This time I made an effort to soften the shading a little; it still sucks though. Guess I need a good tutorial... Λ_Λ; (Gog? ^,^ *cute l00k*)I absolutely hate the combination of purplink (

The coloring looks somewhat off to me... nice job, though!
She was supposed to be an exotic Gym Leader from a faraway land, which is why they gave her an English name in the Japanese versions of the game and animΓ©.
In my version, the American one, she's called "Fantina" and has a very flamboyant French flair to her. Oh, and the coloring is meant to be reminiscent of a Drifloon, and Ghost-Type PokΓ©mon, which is her element of choice.
...Or did you already know that, now that the game has actually come out?

Holy shiz! Yep. I offically worship you. Your digital art is almost as good as your traditional! Haha, you shoulda asked me earlier. There's a few offical pictures out of the new gym leaders now. I think you did an excellent job all the same.
Muahaha. You dont need a tutorial. You did really good without one! D= Hahaha, I can't make them! I suck. I was asked a couple of times to make one, but... yeah. I can find the tutorial I used to start off my technique if you want?
Hehe. Her colour coordination could be a little better, hey. Maybe blue and yellow, but purple and a pastel yellow... Hm... Kinda reminds me of the hew balloon Pokemon. She doesn't train one by any chance? I should check that. ><

No worshipping, I don't deserve it. In actual fact I feel I keep doing something wrong (unnecessarily) while colouring a picture... I believe there's something that makes colouring in PS a bit easier but I haven't discovered it yet. If you show me that tutorial, I will be infinitely grateful.
I think you're right, blue would match the yellow cross better, however, I think that the use of purple on her dress has its purpose - purple is usually the colour of pokemon ghosts (gengar etc).
And if we both mean Fuwaride, yesh, she trains it along with Gengar and Mumage

Well, however hard I tried, it doesn't look like an official image... I drawn characters from various anime series but I find Pokestuff the most difficult one. It's a riddle to me, can't figure it out... I keep making mistakes but I don't know where exactly TT I shall study the style properly >:3
BTW if it seems offical-like to you, I believe it's because I used pale colours.
