Description Third of a set of three.

This one's a little different to the other two, but I like it a lot. The strings really look different when you get up close and personal.

this reminds me of an old ship scene where they have the thick rope tied on deck, the guitar strings remind me of that nautical rope.

i love it.. what a great view of a guitar. this is my fav of all the guitar ones. I just have one small comment, I'd love to see the contrast up a bit.. so that there are dark darks. It's just a personal thing. Maybe everyone else will like it as is. Anyway, I like it as is enough to fav it.

Thanks for the suggestion ... I did try my best with the contrast Problem was that the more I pushed the contrast up the more detail I lost in the light areas. So in the delicate balancing act I had to sacrifice the 'black blacks' in order to keep the white detail.

I usually like high contrast myself, but in this case though I couldn't pull it off - sorry!

Oh, it's a great shot.. I just got it beaten into me in competition that darks have to be dark, while still having texture.... and the lights have to be light with detail. Did you use levels or curves or brightness/contrast? If you used b/c, I recommend levels. I know the real pros prefer curves, but I do best with levels.

I think I might have another crack at it with levels and/or curves ... I used 'b&c', also 'adjustments > selective colour' first time round.
