I had the sudden urge to draw something INSUFFERABLY CUTE this afternoon, so here we have (I think) my first young Hinata in this dA gallery. Hum, come to think of it considering how much I love Hinata as a character, it's odd how I only have one drawing of her here, and it's all grown up:[link]

I still like the feeling of energy it exudes. At any rate, this is supposed to be Hinata on the first day of ninja class or something like that. That's my explanation for why she doesn't have a headband, and looks so lolita jailbait. I really preferred Hinata's figure before she ballooned out. Don't take that the wrong way now, I don't have a loli fetish.

There's one thing you don't seem to realize.
Hinata has always had bigger breasts than the others in her age group. By the time she looked this cute, she already had a chest, vs Sakura (who's still flat-chested), Ino (who's almost as flat now), and Tenten.

I sort of agree though - I liked the way she looked with her hair in part 1, over the long, typical Hyuuga-style hair in part 2. It was just one of those things about her that meant she was different. Doesn't make this any less cute \(^/o\^)/

well i think she was always kind of busty but she hide it with her jacket very well i think in the second part she wasnt really able to hide it as well. but i definitely like her better in the first part

I guess most anime girls are like that ^^. If she kicks ass in the new arc I guess I'll like her again, but so far though my feelings are like yours. She was more awesome before...

she isnt like that, she has alot more depth than copy cat sakura ever will.
well its not really known if sakura has got over the 'OMG SASKEY I WANT YA BABIES' stage yet even if its not shown lol and that if she still has any romantic feelings towards sasuke.
but Ino after the time skip got over him (she has a thing for Sai now lol) and is a much more serious character. Ino always been the wiser and stonger one since they were kids, she just had that stage like sakura which she got over.
one of the mistakes that kishimoto made in my opinion is that in the scene at the end b4 the shippuunden started where Ino came up to sakura to ask her to ask tsunade to be a medic nin. ino always had more confidence and she wud never hav asked someone else to do a task she cud easily do her self.
hey im not kishimoto but what he has presented to us about ino and her past is what she wud really hav done in my opinion.

Some very good points. I was definitely pleasantly surprised by how much stronger Ino was in the new arc. I'm just saying that Kishimoto never really devoted much time to her character development in comparison to Sakura, that's all.

Yeh Ino is cool, theres a rumer saying that kishimoto said when asked about what kind of ninja (speciality) will Ino be, he said that she will be with Ibiki team aka the 'torture' team because of her mind jutsu and also a medic nin.

Ooh. That's freaky. Her mind jutsu certainly has a lot of potential, though the fact that it can be fought off does weaken the impact somewhat. I hope that if she gets any additional development in the story it will come into play.

I thought I had already shrunken the shoulders from their original proportion considerably to sell the "young child" look... I mean, any smaller and it's a bobble head~

XD Holy crud, that is nothing short of adorable. Even though the body language is timid, her expression is like.. I'll do my best! I know what you mean about Hinata in Shippuden. Poor kid. :\ They all grew up too fast..

Yeah, the blush was actually a last minute effect I wanted to try out... felt it would add a little character to the drawing.
I envision this to be the scene where she gets introduced to the other classmates... though maybe it would have been even funnier if it was meeting her team for the first team. "Hi... hi... I am Hinata... OMFG MY TEAMMATES ARE A DOG AND A FLEA HOTEL!"

Now that I think of it, I wonder if there's a panel where (besides her fight) she is not blushing, looking the other way, or pushing her eyebrows up into a worried expression.

Well in the Shippuden her expression is fairly neutral at times...(at least the newest storyline arc) But you're right, during the old storyline she's rarely ever 'direct' or confident.

Ah, the training is the best part... it's what really makes the story interesting, or at least what makes the world fun. If everyone could be like a Super Saiyan by doing pushups and grimacing until their hair turned yellow anime would be boring. It takes schooling!
