Here's another character for the line-up, the hawk-eyed reporter (excuse the pun
) who never gives up. As you can see from her profile, and hopefully her design, she's got quite an attitude and is constantly chasing after the big story.I'l do like where this design is going. In fact it's nearly finished as is. The only problem is that she's proving difficult to draw from certain angles, namely the front. It's just a matter of ironing out those minor problems and I'll have her finished. It's a good sign when you can clearly think of about 2 or 3 different scenes that character would appear in and interact with other characters.
Her last name's going to be Hawkeye. Yeah, pun again, but I may as well stick to the theme (Felicia, Tabby, Leon etc.) She just needs a first name. I'm thinking either Valerie or Callista, I'm not sure which suits her more or sounds more like a reporter's name.
Next up to design is her cameraman
Oh, and the WTF in the bottom right can be taken two ways. Either Leon saying "Hey! Get that camera outta here, this is a crime scene!" or my commentary on how poorly I've drawn him ¬_¬

Valerie - (female form of Valerius)
Roman name which was derived from Latin valere "to be strong".
Callista - (female form of Callistus or a form of Kallisto)
Late Latin name which was derived from Greek καλλιστος (kallistos) "most beautiful".
Should be of some use. But again, awesome work!

That's the reason I chose those names actually, I wanted a name that reflected her personality and those two were good matches

I think "Reporter Valerie Hawkeye" sounds the best
And I also think you should have her camera-man either be the complete opposite (cheery and friendly) or more of a depressed kinda person. Either way, it would be hysterical if Hawkeye would be bossing them around and they'd make comments during her reports (and et'd be even funnier ef the camera-man was actually a woman! "How's your camera-man?" "--WOMAN! Camera-WOMAN!!"

Man, you've got some awesome characters. I can't wait until my drawing skills are up to yours. You have such awesome talent! You should think of making your own comic/manga, or become an animator~!!

I like the idea of the cameraman that's always making snyde remarks under his breath. Sure he'll have to face her wrath afterwards, but it'll be a cool character dynamic going on there
I don't think she'd be able to work with anyone with the same personality as her, they'd never stop arguing with each other XD
And it's odd that you say about comics or animating. I'm planning on making this a comic series sometime and I'm studying animation at university

Yeah, the beak's pretty hard to get right, especially from different angles and different expressions. With the fingers I just made them a little longer than usual and thinner in the middle. I'm glad it's all come out looking okay

Awesome, as always. your style is like a cross between the american Sonic comics, Disney, and a steaming fresh heap of awesome. If you're stuck for a snappy reporter name, I suggest a little alliteration. Something along the lines of Heather Hawkeye or Hermione Hawkeye or something with a H. Although Valerie works pretty well. Keep up the good work!

I'm glad you noticed that about my style! Most of my style has influences from comics and Disney, as well as anime and stuff like that
I was actually trying to avoid alliteration to be honest. I haven't let on much about the plot itself, but I'm not sure it would really suit the theme of the story. I'll try it with another project though

I'll have to agree to what Silversister said. You did capture the hawk in her; something I will still have to practice a lot. Kudos to you!
When I end up using them I always use red or blue, they are my favorites.
Oh, and one more think. She reminds me of the reporter from Swat Cats. Do you remember that cartoon?

I'm glad I managed to capture the hawk in here, but now I need to work out how to draw her properly from different angles. I'm getting there though
