Description
I dedicate this drawing to all the people on dA who have taken their time to share their views, to offer hints and tips or that have so kindly complimented my work. Without the support from everyone around me I would have had the patience to attempt a sketch such as this.
I hope you like it.

The detail is of course wonderful, but what I love more is your control of depth with an exceptionally deft application of smudging.

The very raw nature of this drawing in relation to the subject matter is extremely captivating. The roughness of the hands, and the deep wrinkles in the face speak so much for the character of this man, and you've rendered them very nicely. I love, love, love the coarseness of graphite and the texture does so much good in this composition. It's all really quite nice. I can tell how much detail, patience, and effort you've put into it, and it was well spent. Well done!
