Yeah, when the police, unable to get a response to their knocks, finally got the door open. They found Robert Blake -or rather, his body, his face twisted in horror, seated, facing the window. Judging by the story manuscripts and wild paintings found in the rooms, they figured he died of shock and fear, induced by all that stuff during a terrible thunderstorm the night before. Growing madness was suggested by the mad writing.

Judging by the paintings and other contents of his rooms, the police investigating why he had sat at his desk all the next day with a distorted look on his face, could very well understand why he died of fright and shock! Also at least one pedestrian saw some huge THING flying across the sky during a brief lightning flash ! The police, of course, discounted anything supernatural in Blake's death.
