This intarsia wood carving is of Henry. Made from a photo, the photo was taken and permission given for its use by happydoodles:thumb42332869: Her Bully was just too cute a shot and I had to give it a try. Just finished yesterday, this carving is available for sale at my website [link] and I'm making the print available also.

Very Nice, I am partial to bulldogs, and have done one in Intarsia. It was a purchased pattern,as I have not had a request to do one from a photo.

Wow, wrinkles made with wood! o_O That's amazing to me. XD Fantastic how you can forshorten what I assume is a fairly shallow wall hanging. This portrait has got so much personality, it is obvious it was made of a particular dog. I love how you use different colors of wood for different areas, especially the "pink" and spotted muzzle. It's so gorgeous!!

Thank you. The carving ranges from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inch deep. I do better with bullys because I had one of my own. We all do what we know best.

No, not much money. I may make good money someday, but for now a little is enough untill I get well known. I sell them cheap so there are more out there. I get most orders word of mouth so it is working.

The bright white is aspen on the face, and on the mouth itself I used holly because it brings in grey highlights from the mineral deposits and contrasts with the aspen very well.
