You know what happened to me and a few friends one time during a camping trip? We were about a half mile from the truck, and we saw a half naked and skinny as hell...thing sitting there munching on what I hoped was a deer. After it noticed us, it fucking SCREAMED. Like, imagine the highest pitch bark of a dog, and multiply it by an angry badger, never before have me and my friends noped the fuck out of there as fast as humanly possible. When we got to the truck, we locked ourselves and drove out of their faster than the speed limit, I'm pretty sure I hit a raccoon or squirrel while we were doing our escape.
Never went camping near that place again.

Posting this because the wendigo reminded me of this.
Now I wish it didn't.

It is slightly incorrect information. I am Algonquin Indian. They are not "nature spirits", they are cannibalistic humanoids. I guess you could call them demons. It is said that if you dream of a Wendego, you will soon become one. In the deepest winter, they stalk hunters who tend to not be able to find much on the hunt, and they whisper to them, and either devour them, or convince them to devour their families. Wendego can never get enough food, and it is said that for every person they devour, they grow so that they can never be full.

I'm working on a novel that features a wendigo named Conner. The correct plural of wendigo is wendigowak. Or if you want to use 'Udarachuu (the language of the wendigowak --- yes I created a language for them) they are the Udarwak.

Thanks very much, Rappy! I'm pretty proud of (at least three) of these so it means a lot.
