So, I've been stalking from the figurative bushes for a reeeeaally long time now, and she's recently gone and commanded her minions to make lotses of fun hell puppies. X3 I'm all lovin' on Cotney's arts, and the concept really inspired me, so within a few hours of reading her journal post about it I had so many ideas for these great critters that I couldn't sleep until I jotted a couple down, much to the annoyance of my roommate at three in the morning. ^.^; This is my favorite of the lot...

A lahar is a geologic event, produced by the explosive eruption of a volcano. Superheated pyroclastic ash falls from the explosion and pours into rivers and streams, creating a devastating tidal wave of thick, chalky mud strong enough to flatten entire forests and boil the flesh off of any living creature it overwhelms.

Lahar is an embodiment of repressed malice, a living concentration of aimless, trapped rage. His demeanor is generally cool, reserved... he doesn't fight back when challenged, and is low on the status totem pole. But every so often, utterly without warning, he SNAPS, unleashing almost unbelievable wrath on whomever gets in his way.

At the moment, his backside seems to be making a bit of a mess. XD
