Description There are only a few blank pages left in my old sketchbook, so I decided to make a new one insted of buying it (partly because I couldn't find one that I liked).

I found a tutorial from and it was quite easy to make the book this way (I made two books before, but that was much more difficult).
You can find the tutorial here: part I[link] and part II[link]

I used simple brown packing paper for the pages, because I like it's colour and the texture too.
The cardboard is from an old calendar. It has a layer of thin sponge too.

I searched for patterned paper for the cover in all the shops I know in the town, but couldn't find anything I liked. So I bought this dark red paper and decided to decorate the book in other way.

The shape of the leather is something similar to the patterns on my leather bag.
The embroidery is made with copper wire. It's from a clock and it is thinner than hair. I used 10 strands of it and some beeswax to make a decent thread.

The bookmark is satin ribbon with czech glass beads on it. The ribbon has a beautiful green color, but the camera messed it up.
