Honestly, I've never played the game...but I can't fail to appreciate a beautiful picture packed with details like this. Hmm, is she a villain? That's a pretty impressive sword/staff she's got there...in any case, very well done work!

it's a claw, actually. 
She's...not exactly a villain, per se; only had a slightly messed up relationship with someone who may or may not be a villain in the game; or at least tend to be depicted as one.
I think most of it was her design; the creators designed her to be this dangerous, sliiiiightly insane femme fatale, and I ran with it.

This picture is beautifully done. The shading, darkness and pose of the character all point to some ominous meaning, and that's what I like about this image so much. I look forward to more of your art on KOEI's games. ^^

When I was drawing her, I thought of her as that woman who definitely will stealthily kill you deep in the night; so bloodily, so messily; so..sexily. Maybe. Or maybe it's reserved for Nobunaga. Who knows, they might have their nightly games..

Haha, their relationship is always quite dark.
I think if you added dripping blood to the claws, the effect would be even more graphic, but I'm just saying.
