Damn, I barely remember the original Voltron airing on tv here when I was 6. All the kids wanted to pretend to be characters from it.

I haven't seen the original Voltron and honestly got really bored after the few first episodes of the new one but this kitty man was rather fun. From what Zlu says (she watched the show as a child) he is based on Yurak (or whatever his name was) from the original.
