Forget implication, the show has been doing everything it can to get across that they are dead, while being prevented from outright saying they are due to the TV-Y rating.

"Harmony in Equestria is officially dead."
"It looks like it's dying!"
"It was a Hose Snake. Super deadly!"
"Ready to do some death-defying dragon stuff!?"

Oh, they can use the words "dead" and "death", so long as it's not referring to actual character death or used as a threat. What I meant is that they are not allowed to directly reference the fact the parents died. They can heavily imply it to the point where it's pretty obvious they're dead even to kids, but they can't actually say they're dead, not even being allowed to use phrases like "they passed away" or "they're no longer with us".
All because it's a TV-Y show instead of TV-Y7.

And still there are some people that refuse to aknowledge that fact and still beleve that they are alive but missing.

With this episode having the heaviest implications they could ever make that they're dead, there's nothing left that could be used to indirectly say they're gone.
So the people who still believe they're just missing are going to continue doing so throughout the rest of the show, because that means they're outright refusing to accept that they're meant to be dead, no matter what anyone else says.
