Description
Sheng Xun. Happened in the Shang Dynasty where high ranking males sacrificed slaves and concubines to provide companionship in the afterlife.

Here, is a concubine, already sacrficed. Her hanfu slips off of the shoulders to show sexuality/prositution. The colour white represents death in Eastern countries, while the golden wings represent the Fenghuang, or pheonix which represents viture, duty, propriety, belief and mercy.

The chinese character in the top left reads "Spirit" or "Soul".

NOTE: The hanfu style selected is NOT from the Shang Dynasty. The Hanfu in the Shang Dynasty was the first hanfu that took aesthetics into consideration. It, however very much resembles a kimono (which was based off of the hanfu). In order to make this appear to be more in the chinese style, I used a more modern hanfu that is often seen in chinese paintings.
