Have a piece of Canadiana!

Since Christmas is over, I can finally post this! This was my present for one of my brothers, who adores trains and it's a portrait of Morant's Curve, which is a famous spot in the Canadian Rockies with photographers. It took more than eight hours and it was done in dark blue Col-Erase pencil. I had to go to a special place to get this scanned, as it's an 11x14 drawing on Canson paper. (Ouch, expensive!)

Prints and other knicknacks with this are available in my cafepress shop as well as other images-> [link] !

CRITIQUE IS NOT DESIRED. This image is probably a one shot, though it is possible that I will do stuff like this again, since I enjoy the effect. This was my first time drawing a train as well (and I'm glad I'm drawing it from a distance.) I am fully aware of the problems in this picture. If I do another image like this, I have my own extensive personal critique to work from and I have no requirement at this time for critique from anyone else. I do NOT come to dA to have my art be nit picked! PLEASE respect my wishes!

This is awesome! The difference in textures really gives you a lot to look at! The mountains look so smooth, and the transition into the forest is lovely.

Very beautiful! I love trains, too. This looks like a cool wintry scene with the blue monochrome, I really like the effect.
