this guy is such a jerk, I cant help but think he wants to "dismiss" everything in the universe he percieves as a threat. Like hes just got bit by a fly and hes like "ah yes 'flys!' The flying race of insects that feed on the blood of those bigger than it. We have dismissed that claim."

I saw the link on the Garrus Fanclub on Bioware Forum . . .
"AH YES, "BAD PENCIL DRAWING", which they think they can't use digital art and only use pencil."
I have to dismiss that claim. I am awed . . .

Awesome sketch Faerlyte, the level of detail and shading is impressive, nice to see some hand drawn stuff here. I can't draw turians, scratch that, I can't draw (Buggirl is sad at her lame efforts...needs Garrus hugs, STAT!)

Oh thankyou Faerlyte! I've been practicing some real drawing, but I think I need lessons, I even bought a drawing tablet for my PC, but it's very different from using pencil thats for sure!

You're welcome, . It helps just to pick random objects and practice drawing them. Or pictures of people in magazines/newspapers, etc. If you can find someone to be a willing model, if just for a short time, it will help a lot with anatomy and proportion. I've taken a couple art classes and ultimately they were very helpful because you're drawing all the time, but it is something you can do on your own too. I'm fortunate that my mom is also an artist and can give me tips now on then on what I'm doing wrong, and for that it's good to have input, but I'm still a firm believer in your own power, . I bet with a little practice and discipline, studying different shapes and practicing shading, that you'd be just fine.
I've always wanted to try a tablet, just to see what it's like. I can imagine it would be very different. It's just there are so many things I like to do, so many interests, that learning to draw using a tablet on a pc with art programs that are so complex as to make my head spin - I don't think I've got the energy for it. Especially when I already know how to draw with pencil, if not as refined as more experienced artists. It makes me happy though.
Yikes, sorry for the long reply. I got carried away I guess, haha.

Well, I definitely am gonna try. I needa a picture of Saren hanging in my room. XD
But I'm happy with the Salarian I have for now. Whee!
Yep, I know how it goes. Don't you hate when something seems so simply at one time then is impossible to draw another? Although, it's more like, I end up annoyed with my characters i not wanting to make themselves known. Gah!

Hey, that sounds just like me, haha. Drawing characters for a novel I'm trying to write (unsuccessfully at the moment). That's awesome.
It does make work difficult. I draw here and there. I like to write and I play music too though, so juggling them all with life is stressful. I tend to concentrate on one thing, then switch to something else depending on my mood, but that usually means that I'm neglecting one thing or another for a lengthy time. So, I'll go a month without drawing because I've been writing. Music labors the most though...I hardly play anymore.
But anyhow, no matter how problematic art is, the end results can be so gratifying, . I'm glad you're back into it too, and good luck with the writing!

Well, you know what's nice now? the story's starting to come together, but what I find hilarious is i order for that to come about, I had to split up what I had planned for the first book in a duology. Well guess how many books the first got split into? 3! Wah!!! There's a lot too it and I keep adding stuff. My bad! But I'm just glad that i seems to b coming together now, though I'm scared because it's now planned with 4 books. I don't know if that's going to work out . . .
Yea, I do the same. Just recently I got my watercolor paints so I went on a painting craze. But I had a reading craze just before that and now I think I hit a writing craze my sketches are annoying me right now).
But yep, when you get to the end it does bring about a great satisfaction. Oh whee-ness to Kakasaku. Hehehe . . .
