Description
Long time scince my last space/sci-fi work!
It was time to put an end to that
So, this is "The Eden" a sort of unique natural place where everything looks amazingly beautifull. I used several images from sxc to build up the scenery in general. it was great fun to give this composition some sort of mystical feeling.
I also manually painted the boats. wich makes the image even more intresting...I think

I think this makes a great wallpaper, Im using it right now and it looks really good

Looks great. Nice work on the mist/clouds, having them come in front of the hills and planet. Like the feel of this. However, I can't help wondering about the havoc those planets would cause on the tides, being so close. More likely there'd be terrible waves, I think.

In wont happend, I measuered the trayectory of both planets and equaled the mass and density of this one, and then calculated the result based on the proximity of the sun respect of alpha centauri's diameter. Its all fine!

We all love an exotic beautiful planet...they're easy to forget in the cold machine-oriented genre of sci-fi
Not too bad, I think more atmospheric depth is needed, the closest rocks as well as the reasonably clos emountain behind them are practically the same brightness/contrast. I would have locked the hill's layer transparency and lightly brushed over it with a low-opacity brush in the same colour as the sky, perhaps less so on the right where its closer and mor ethe further away it gets, that one tall hill in the distance could even be made almost as faint/flat as the small pocket of really far hills right on the left, normally I'm fond of very "clear" weather landscapes where even far things are still clearly visible (after all, every digital artist abuses the "dark and moody" look, which isn't always the case in real life 
I can see where your'e going trying to make the planets look 3D but showing their dark side too (which is normally screened out by the atmosphere) but that stylisation can also work, but the dark sid eis too dark still, having it less noticable but still a bit darker than the surrounding sky might also help "push it out of the atmosphere" a bit

Yes, you are right about that. Tis time I didnt worked too much woth atmosphere, because i wanted to have a clean view of the hills. Dont worry I wont submit any photomanip again, I know I suck at them, lol

Lol, yeah - like I said - normally I prefer clear scenes anyway, especially in tropical-like ones (which ironically would probably have the haziest skies most of the time lol)
Photomanips are the first step towards matte paintings though, if you can digitally paint AND photomanip - you could have the perfect formula for great matte paintings

verry true indeed, though, I still prefeer the fresh look a digital painting has, compared to the hyper-mabye-too-much realistic look a mate painting, or a photomanipulation may have. However I enjoy the three of them

Now that I agree on, I've faved very few matte paintings actually - they look great, but I also prefer a certain degree of stylisation
