It's finally complete! My 4th version of the stargate, this time based on the atlantis version of the gate. Quite proud of this one, considering my previous one looked like this: [link]All the parts move and work properly too, and i will be submitting an animation of the gate dialing out soon! :3

Beautifully done.
I've always had two questions about the gate address(es). Since the addresses are a string of 7 (sometimes 8) glyphs out of 38 or so ....
1) can a glyph be used more than once for an address?
2) if so, there would there be some addresses out there with the addresses all the same glypth?

Yeah, the animation will have the stargate in a kind of cavern with pillars and a stone ramp leading up to it :3

looking nice, the modelling for the outside and the chevrons are uber cool, but im not sure about the actual gatey bit, maybe its too bright

Brightness is because the whole thing is set up for the animation, thats right at the flash point. It settles down a little bit and becomes less bright XD

I've already got my three opening shots rendered, and this temple/cave set for it built ;3
The ceiling of the set is VEEEERY high, like 5000m, and the camera kinda freefalls all the way down X3
