So I have a list of new techniques and styles to mess around with for certain aspects, such as eyes, hair, etc. This is the experiment for eyes, hence the close view. Also, since it's so darn close to New Year's, I figured I should draw the same thing as I did when I first joined dA as a kind of dubious reach-around past allusion because New Year's is definitely the best time to pull something as mysterious and symbolic as that off.EDIT: It dawns on me that a surprising amount of my art features Pinkie, even though she is NOT my favorite pony. What a paradox. Well, whatever. Finished! Remember that this IS an experiment for the eyes, so the eyes may or may not be how my eyes will look from now on. I'll still experiment with them a little. Have something to suggest for my eyes experiments? Please tell!
EDIT2: It seems that I have forgotten Pinkie's lower eyelashes! How despicable of me. I'm not going to edit a finished artwork, and I already am working on a project that takes a long time. I really need to remember the eyelashes.

Who IS your favorite pony then?
Even though I don't believe I'm in the position to suggest anything, what about setting the stabilizer (assumed it exists in CS) a bit higher while drawing the pupils? It helpes me drawing ovals rounder and smoother.

No stabilizers in Photoshop. Remember, the primary purpose of Ps is photo editing, not drawing. I know that the lack of stabilizers really ticks off people who use SAI regularly, but I don't really mind drawing without stabilizers.

How do you stand the inaccuracy with the selection tool and color selection? I remember that the color selection only allows you to choose the even numbers of RGB. Also, the layers don't have enough functions and are not easily understood. How can you stand this?

For the record, sa- is the prefix for before. San is the word to indicate past, much like how "will" indicates future in English. Likewise, uns, the prefix for after, indicates future.

I like drawing eyes. Guess you are saving the best for the last? (Hope one can translate that idiom freely. Idioms are tricky 
But I see many WIP-status pictures in your gallery. Do you lose your interest? Is a pity though.

To answer more in depth to that whole WIP thing, yes, I do lose interest sometimes. This usually happens when an idea doesn't come out the way I expected it to come out. Though I guess I can always go back to them later and redo them. Also, I found out only after the 2nd attempt that I don't like rigging up Flash puppets. They're confusing and a bore. Furthermore, without actual experience in animating puppets, I wouldn't know what I need to rig and how to rig them up. Maybe I should borrow some puppets, perhaps the Double Rainboom puppets, before I try rigging up my own? It's a thought.

I fear I don't understand much about animating, but I guess its kind of a relief if you don't have to make everything by yourself from the beginning. And about the WIP thingys - I guess its your choice wether you want to finish them or not, I just think its a pity. Many of them are pretty funny
