Pretty good actually, thanks for asking
Its just that I stopped posting my art online because I feel like I need some more practice first, plus they are usually some random attempts that I delete right after. I even pre-ordered some book about pony drawings on amazon.
But my Inbox gets kinda flooded since I started following every artist I like - my notifications won't drop down from 500-600, and I'm too lazy to check everything at once, so it might be that I missed some of your posts sorry
Apart from that, I'll be heading to Galacon tomorrow. Thats the biggest MLP-Convention in Germany, and I believe the biggest in Europe also, so thats a plus Might also post some pictures of that here, if I make any good ones.
So yeah, nothing too serious. And since I'm in the mood for a little chat, how about you?

I'm pretty fine. A little busy, perhaps. I couldn't pump out art like I expected I could over the summer.
Don't worry about skipping over my stuff. I didn't do a lot of art in the past couple of months. In fact, one of them took a month to complete (ironically only 15 hours because I couldn't find the time to draw). In the end, I think I only made 3 complete pictures and 1 incomplete one that I'm probably just going to leave incomplete.
Also, congrats on getting the book, I guess. Although I kind of question how useful it would be, since ponies are kind of straightforward once you get the hang of it. And also because "art style" allows a pretty big range of deviation from official canon.
I should point out, though, that 500-600 is nothing. At one point in the summer, I had over 2000 messages in my notifications. Luckily, I managed to beat that number down. Now it just rests at a comfortable 200-300.
Anyways, I think you should post your practice art. I keep my old art in my gallery because I would like to show my progress over time. For example, that Flitter drawing I did a while back was pretty top-of-the-line back then, but it's honestly pretty shameful now. (I might even redraw it sometime.) My point is that it doesn't really matter how embarrassing it may be, because each picture represents a milestone in your improvement.
On a separate note, you're going to GalaCon? Wow. I know that it's pretty big, and that it's in Germany (lucky for you), but I can't really dream of going to any conventions. Not only is it because I'm still going through a painfully tedious and slow process called "education," but also because I don't quite like crowds.
So I guess I'm partly jealous of you?

lol lucky me that my parents go along with my crazy notions. Which are, for the record, so many that it's practically impossible to be put into a list. One of my more recent ones is origami. ^_^ Designing them, of course. Following instructions is just boring. (I was simultaneously surprised and not surprised by the existence of actual methods and techniques in designing origami. Surprised because I would have never expected that and not surprised because there are some stuff out there that just reeks of "intentional design." I mean, have you seen some of the origami stuff on dA?)
Anyways, the list of things that I'd like to do whenever I actually get into it is also impossible to put into a list. Which is why redrawing Flitter is only a maybe. And that's sitting with "draw something with Sharpies," "redo and complete some of my WIPs," "draw a gemsona (already got a pretty basic design)," and "start a comic series," among other things.
And yes, if I put it like that, which I did put it like that, you should put your art online. And I know that I did put it like that because it was said specifically to be put like that. Is this confusing you yet?

I'm gonna go with lockpicking and growing a plant. Those are actually two things I have had rambling through my mind for quite some time.
And I'm pretty sure picking locks is forbidden Β

Well, of course it's forbidden. Not sure about the laws over there, but I just use my own locks for practice. Maybe that's okay? I bought a Master padlock and used that to learn. And I make sure that I have explicit permission from a person who understands the risks of lockpicking before I try to pick a lock that's not mine.
If you want to get into it, make sure that you really know what you're doing before you get into door locks, because if you don't, you can actually jam a lock (have you read Fallout: Equestria? The part where Littlepip was frustrated because she couldn't open a chest that's jammed? It's like that.) But luckily, it's really not hard to make sure you don't jam a lock. It's really just a rookie mistake.
And...anything else worth noting...? Oh, right. Use a bobby pin for the pick. They're stiffer, and although they're less maneuverable in the lock than a paper clip, a paper clip bends too easily, so it's harder to get anything done with a paper clip. However, one of those big paper clips (the stiffer ones), I found out is good for practice since padlocks in general don't have very stiff pins, and because the maneuverability makes it easier for people to catch on to the general gist of picking. Also, because if you're pressing the pins too hard, the pick bends. That may not seem like a good thing, but it's better than oversetting the pins and jamming the lock. (Believe me, if you jam the lock, there's no way that thing is usable again)
Anyways, good luck on that! If it's legal.
On the other hand, you can be a model citizen and forget about that and grow a plant instead.

You know, taken out of context, and in this case, context refers to knowledge of somewhat specific information about you and your personality, that would appear strange. And unfortunately, it still does in context. I mean, why exactly would you run? That's such a strange thing to do. Avoiding a question is one thing but running from one is completely and utterly strange.

Yeah, there isn't such a thing as quality control on here. Not that I mind. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to get better, right? I mean, even with this, in which I purposely traced with a cover pencil brush to make it seem like it was a mix of physical and digital art, my recent drawings are a lot better than my previous ones.

Well duh. I don'tΒ want to post anything horrid because...well whatever isn't the best quality right now becomes worse overtime...in comparison to improved works. For example...Nuttershy.
Though...well...I'm not actively seeking improvement. I take back whatever I said whenΒ originally joining this place. (It was not for a record of improvement...That was just a reason I used in place of whatever.)
