I'm having trouble deciding which one I like more - This or the original.
I love the coloring on it - The vibrant reds and oranges combining with the purple give it a kind of mystfying look; especially at the bottom where it looks spooky. However, it seems as though you're jumping from one end to the other end of the spectrum there..From light to dark.
However, on the original, it has a more down-to-earth look, and the light and darks seem to be more closer together than this.
Don't get me wrong man, these are both good! Very good!

Wow, that's some level of detail you put into that, it's an amazing piece. The JPEG compression on the starfield/very back-background REALLY hurts the piece I think in some places but other than that it's one of the coolest things I've seen in a while. This deserves a fav also.

The first Reverie was one of my favorite pieces on all of deviantart. I do like the added saturaion and blueish feel, but I still think the original was one of the best terra-space (even though terragen was not used) pieces ever and I loved the mixes of color in it.
Can't wait for the sequel
