Have you ever read Suicide Off Egg Rock by Sylvia Plath?

well, yes. my opinion, it's one of her best, if not the best. i'd reproduce it for you, but i've already packed my Plath away for the move. perhaps it can be found via internet.
anyway, your picture brought it to mind. while others found the colours enchanting and dreamy, I found them to be bruised worry. malicious confusion. that sort of thing.
they made me think of coffee stains and loose cigarette ash, and depressed people in run down taverns, dreaming of better lives. but not in that whimsical Tom Waits way, because Waits uses reality to inspire the whimsical. this uses the whimiscal to remind of reality. or something.
those are my impressions. but it is my favourite of your recent works, even if it is the most challenging. perhaps, because it is.

totally agree with that other kid up there. This is you. Still ill? ugh. We're totally chillin' sometime. When I'm not totally insane. Like I am, right now.

But why is it so hard to take the second step when the first is so easy?
I absolutely love her hair, her face, and her dress.
And is the ledge real or a suggestion?

and while i may be in pieces, they aren't angry ones, and you're welcome, for whatever it counts.

I don't think it looks lonely. I think it looks more like she's free. All the stars around her alone on a stark cliff, and she's kind of testing how far she can go. And the way she's holding her dress is kind of playful.
I like how you didn't give her any facial features... it left it open to interpretation.
I dont' know why but i like how it looks like the paper is kind of crinkled in the middle.

Very emotional...
I love the way warm sepia makes contrast with cold feeling of loneliness in this painting. Well done.
