These are recent photos taken of a series of paintings done around this time last year for my end of year show. The theme was 'Dreams' and this is a closeup photograph of a section of one of the paintings.

This one was painted onto an old print of a woodland scene on a found frame,I then added layers of paint, varnish and linear drawing of trees to create a surreal and sinister dreamscape. This one specifically was based on Jungs archetype of 'The Forest'. I was trying to show how our subconscious distorts reality into its own logical form of reality in the dream world, I also looked at the works of Freud and Jung and thier interpretations of dreams and the subconscious mind.
