They are SOOO ADORABLE, this is true!!
They have also the most cute name in finnish; "karhukainen". "Karhu" means "bear" so it is basically "bearypoo" or something like that, it just sounds like a pet-name...
So intense that you did this with watercolours only! Lovelyyyy.

Oh man, I remember seeing one of those in a nature book I had as a kid (and am pretty sure I still have *glances at bookshelf*), and...well, I think I was a bit disappointed when I actually read the part about them being microorganisms, because I was kinda imagining one that's actually big enough to see walking or swimming around XD

I had found one of these dudes in a water sample for my Biology class a few weeks ago. Named him Howard.
I'm upset that every girl in America is scared shitless of things that live in water. Especially the cute stuff.

What a masterful use of watercolor!
And I actually know what water bears are! X3 Don't they change size by 70% when in the presence of water?
You are also right X3 They are cuute!

Woah, those things are... really cool. It's so surreal that we have creatures that look so complex that are so very tiny. Or maybe not, but I guess I've never really thought too much about it before..
The image itself is very nice, I love the ability you have to work in so many mediums, and that you do it so well. The texture on the little guy is great, and the brown and blue colors work so well together.

I did read a little about them as I was searching for picture, like that they go into a hibernation when their environment dries. They are such cool little things
Hehe, I totally would read biology textbooks for fun

Oooh, try velvet worms, too. They're neat. Man, I can't remember the relevant facts that had them linked together in our invertebrate book. They both had a very unique feature to them, but I can't remember what.
