Description
This is a puppet I had sculpted for an episode of the X files. In my defense the time frame the puppet was needed was insane. This was a one day sculpture because they needed it in on set in 3 days. However it did end up being a really fun episode.Mulder and Scully are sent to investigate a series of killings at a circus sideshow in the town of Gibsonton, Florida. During their investigation, Scully points out to Mulder that the both of them have been wrongly suspicious of many of the "circus freaks" in town simply because of their abnormalities.This creature ends up being Leonard, the underdeveloped fetus twin of Lanny, played by Vincent Schiavelli. Leonard is actually capable of exiting and then returning into Lanny's body. Lanny mournfully suggests that the motivation behind his brother's attacks is that he is seeking a new brother, by attempting to burrow into their side. Lanny later dies from an unrelated drinking problem which severely damaged his liver, and Scully says that his autopsy revealed many differences in the arrangement of his blood system, esophagus, etc. which were almost umbilical in nature.

Β When working on it I thought how awful it was going to be.... I did not see the episode or any x files while it initially aired. I viewed it years later and was really surprised how well made and fun the episode and show was. Thanks again

oooooooooooh my god!! it is seriously so cool to find the artist that did this work. i am a huge x-files fan, and this is my second favorite episode. the story line was so different and weird, but thats what made it so fun. this guy was incredibly creepy!!! made my skin crawl. i've been browsing your work and its awesome, but i just had to comment on this cause i am such an x files fan and i got so excited when i saw this! remembered right away who it was, before i read the description. it was a very memorable episode!!!

I saw this episode when I was a kid, and I remember crying! xD The X-files was probably one of the scariest things for me as a kid, besides Tales From the Crypt and Are You Afraid of The Dark? (lol).
Looking at this now, I can appreciate the artwork that goes into horror scenes. Fantastic.

Its amazing I never had nightmares from watching X-Files as a child but dang it this should have caused a few, its amazing what you did with only a days time. It may not have caused a nightmare but it sure made me hide behind the couch when it showed up

In about 2000 i was about 3 and i went to put one of my winnie the pooh movies on i had taped and then this thing appeared on the screen and i literally pissed my pants so i ran away to my dad and he "Accidently Taped over it" XD

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD! I cannot believe you worked on the X-Files! And the Humbug episode to boot! I've got an X-Files tattoo, I'm *that* obsessed. Phew! Sorry, I had an ultra fan-girl moment there... I'm extra hyped up because I will be meeting Frank Spotnitz (for the second or third time) and Gillian Anderson (for the first time!) next month.
ANYWAY! I cannot believe this was made in a day, great job! X-Philes everywhere have the thought and image of your Figi Mermaid ingrained in their minds forever! It is truly horrifying, you did a great job capturing that!
