Remove the shadow from the light, the shadow grows.

Here is the fallen elder god Shinnok he is probably one of my favorite villains in MK. I consider Shinnok to be the most powerful character in the MK universe. I mean he was an Elder God. The character viewer in MKX definitely helped me with his look. I debated on adding Raiden to the amulet for a while I thought it looked nice once I got it right. The real challenge for me in this pic was Shinnok's head piece. Trying to get the shape and then keep that shape with texture light and shadows was a real challenge. It took a while to get that center jewel to look the way I wanted it to. I kept adding a little bit of a green glow but it clashed with the other colors so I left it alone. I know I'm jumping the MK timeline because I said I would do characters through the first 3 MK before others but its Shinnok and he is a bad MOFO.

Done in Photshop CS 5 with Wacom tablet
