I'm reworking the Battletech CCG cards for a free Tabletop Simulator mod. Would it be ok to use some of your Battletech images for some of the card art? I am making no money from it. It's a labor of love

This looks really awesome. Nice how you made it sharp at the rock. And blurry in the background it adds a realistic feel to it .I like the model and texture. Although I have never played the game. This looks really nice , and I bet that fans of the game will like this too . Keep it up cheers.

This is really cool, my favorite mech from the Mechwarrior series. My favorite thing to do in Mechwarrior 3 (or was it 2) was to load the thing with as many weapons as possible and go in and fire them all at once. The heat from the discharge was so high that the Daishi was instantly explode. Best of all, it would take out any mechs around it, effectively rendering my mech a walking WMD. Fond memories, to be sure.

So many good memories. I miss Mech Warrior... although at least we've got MWnline. I've yet to get to try it, but I've heard good things!

I tried MWO..... great game for multiplayer- they nailed the gameplay so damn well. but if youre a single player like me, who plays for story AND awesome gameplay...... well, I just really miss the awesome campaigns from the old MW games.

Theyve proven they can make an awesome current gen mech game, so I ask, why dont they? D=

have you tried Mechwarrior Living legends?Β  ItΒ  give a more multi-arms feel than MWO does as it has tanks battle arm and Aircraft...

ParadigmFallen In reply to Aldark [2013-07-29 12:51:22 +0000 UTC]

Indeed, SP was what got me into the original series. Still, MWO is installed and ready to go, soon as I get a chance. It'll be like relearning how to walk after being bed bound for ten years, considering how good I was before I stopped playing. I might honestly dig out my joysticks while I'm at it.

F2P SP games are harder to make. Hopefully they'll make a new SP entry soon eough.

Aldark In reply to ParadigmFallen [2013-07-29 18:42:35 +0000 UTC]

F2P? Id pay well over $100aud for a new proper MW game, even on console. haha. hell, Id preorder a ps4 right now if I knew they were making a MW game for it. XD Id certainly prefer pc, but thats how far Id go. XD

But yeah, it took a little while to get used to the controls again. Its a bit different to the original controls but thats far from a bad thing. like I said, they nailed it on the freaking head as far as the control system goes. Hope you have fun when you get around to it~

The ultimate 100-ton mech. It was always my favorite. I must've had a dozen setups for both the comic-book store "board" game and the computer version. Yup. Just dated myself - I was playing Mechwarrior before everyone had computers.

Epar3D In reply to Batatalion [2013-05-03 21:32:41 +0000 UTC]

Thanks!
The mech was modelled entirely in Softimage, and the ground (rocks, snow, etc,..) in Zbrush. After sculpting in Zbrush, the ground was exported into Softimage for texturing and render.
