well, if you know about the turtles you'll know that this happens. I think it'll be exciting and I can't wait to see the dynamics of the show change when Casey comes in. Oh and spelling is easy when you have spellcheck and don't talk like some kind of gangster.

Did Casey appear in last weekends episode? Haven't seen it yet so I don't know. Donnie is so adorable! If Casey does appear and is about the same age as April, it'll be funny to watch Donnie and Casey fight over her! XD

It's nice to see some fans of the new show here on DA. You'd be surprised how much hate posts the Nick's TMNT Facebook page is getting!!! I just wish people would ease up and accept this new show. Sure, it's different, but it's not HORRENDOUS!!! I actually like this better than both the '87 and the '03 shows combined.

I don't know why people are being so uptight. You're never going to win over the guys who want a re-hash of the 80's show. sure, that was great for the 80s but time's a-moving on.
If you take the core of what the turtles are -which they have- you can structure in a different point of view whithout it being too drastic.
I LOVE the direction they've taken and haven't had a problem with anything yet. As I said, they're focusing on the TURTLES themselves and they've given them so much time and growth to shine and be who they are.

Tell me about it! First people are complaining that shows these day just recycle old ideas and we never have anything new. Then when we get something new, they say to go back to the old formula and UUUUURGH! Just makes my head hurt! Yes, the 80s show was a classic, but it's also very DATED!!! Just watch "Nostalgia Critic's Raiders of the Story Arc" on TMNT and you'll see what I mean!
And you're right: it is nice to be focusing on the Turtles personalities and such without cheap jokes and one-shot adventures. Donnie's not just a genius, he's also a hopeless romantic; Leo's not just a leader, but a fanboy leader-wannabe; Raph still has a temper, but he's more sarcastic and such and Mikey....well Mikey will never really change and that's good.
Yeah, I've given up on defending this show to "purist fans." You'd be surprised how many people are praising the show from 2003 and, personally, that show always rubbed me the wrong way. I mean, the stories were good and there were some fun action episodes, but the voice acting and stiff animation really made it fall flat a lot of the times. Not that these whiners care...I just hope the negativity doesn't affect the show TOO much. I want to see this last at least three seasons.

I think most of the hate is coming from the fact that it's CG. It's also unfortunate how many people don't give CG a chance.

I was willing to look past that too because I loved the shape of the characters. It being in CG doesn't take away but I think it'll add to it as well. Like the foot soldiers and the krang. You can't properly do that in 2D.

I noticed that too. They keep comparing it to Fanboy and Chum Chum. Uh, no. The CGI isn't what made F&CC unwatchable for me; it was the writing and annoying characters that did that. It's great if it has a fanbase; I'm just not a part of it.
Personally, I love the use of CG in this. It's like watching a comic book!

They don't just stick to CG either. have you seen the beautiful scratchy Master Splinter cutscenes? yum!

Well the CG does have some similarities to F&CC, such as the textures and some of the backgrounds. But I think a better comparison point would be Kung Fu Panda:Legends of Awesomeness in how the action scenes are animated. And the way some of the characters are stylized brings to mind Star Wars:The Clone Wars. It's in my opinion the best CG there is.
Clearly, there must be true TMNT fans working on the show. I mean, only a true fan would do this.

Oh yeah. Like half of the people working on the show are comic book fans and the other half are 87 fans. Trust me, it's in good hands. Unlike some hacks who just glimpse at a francise without really delving in to what it's really about as far as characters go (*coughInspectorGadgetmoviecough*)
