I've been studying landscapes for about... 3 years I think, all in my free time though. It helps if you watch how concept artists paint them, or sometimes you can gain inspiration by watching landscape speed paintings too~

I feel that I have not the right technique.

A dragon that walks along a great plain and with mountains in the distance are always nice look as I see it. The tribal patterning of this dragon is just as interesting, to see like these diamond patterning like tattoos on the wing membranes is not something I am all too familiar with but in the terms of how it adds to the image. The same goes fo the feathers tail, something unique to dragons, very nice work, well done.
