Fan-art of The Celestial Dragon from Dragon Wars~That movies was pretty... meh, but when the ending scene came on and this dragon appeared... woah *-*

Also wanted to make it look like a still from the film, hence the use of actual scales and such~ ^^

Amazing is an understatement describing this picture!
I loved how realistic looking Imoogi was in D-wars, it was a masterpiece. But I still think the movie and plot itself could've been way better. The graphics were amazing, but the movie was disappointing.

The movie to me was ok considering the budget that was used to make it, it could have been far worse, both acting and special effects. This technically was an Korean legend, but I do like how the Imoogi when the girl gave up her soul gave the dragon new existence. An when it came to the ending scenes as this image is meant to display the dragon gave a very human emotion as it shed a tear before entering into the heavens. I like in this case how you made this image to portray the finale event itself, so this is very well done.

Wow, now I've watched your vidoe on youtube.
First - the music is awesome, I love it.
Second - wow, I admire how and fast you can make a picture without any wasted effort - I always re-do everything three times 
Third - hey, I think I've learned a couple of useful tricks in digital art
Fourth - I had no idea it's possible to bend the picture the way you used for the scales, that's cool! I've seriously never come across it in Photoshop

If by bend the picture, you mean the dragon scales layers, it I know is a free transform 2D mesh layer to be able to bend layers. Now not as far as I know is not available before CS3 or 4 and is not in the Photoshop elements programs at all, but yes those are all neat tricks, I always used a scales downloadable brush to male scales myself, but this looks much faster.

Thank you for explanation. I tried to find it in my Photophop, but without succes. I have PS2 version, so now I see this is probably the problem. But I usually don't mind doing the things the old way, so I suppose I'll leave it at that.

I do agree about the movie being meh until the final fight scene between the giant snake and emogi who was also a giant snake then om nomed her soul and became a dragon x33
The cgi was amazing but the story was a let down ;n;
But the art work is amazing, especially this x333
