May as well be a frackin' human. I should practice more. I really should. I want to be awesome. Zim in my comic will always be Irken anyway (since it's based after Earth's destruction).Tecknologic you ask? I was inspired by Daft Punk. Perfect IZ inspiration, if you ask me. Tell me if this is too dark for your feeble monitors.

It's my wallpaper now. It feels real good to have your own wallpaper you made. Previously, I just shifted from artworks I've received from some of my friends and fantastic artists on dA. I last used.. hmm, my Vaika with a gigantic lollipop by ~Invadertaj

but the picture looks superb! but, the lighting looks rather... too light
the black in the picture looks a very off Grey, and personally? it takes away from the all over experience of the picture.
honestly? it is a lovely picture!
but that is the only thing that is really gnawing at me.
other than that, i would've put more bulk on the arm, and maybe added a wrist detail.
lol i really don't know what is getting my goat about his arm, the umm one reaching for the earth, but it is just, i dunno,

Aww, late as I say, (and probably a million others) is better than never at all! xD
Now, here's the thing with this one - when I originally submitted this, it was all dark and lovely. A few people complained they couldn't see what was going on because of how dark it was, so I put a white overlay on top to clear it up a little. It looks so awful on the monitor I drew it on, but I did it so everyone else would enjoy it better I guess ._. I can show you the original darker version. Too conclude that explanation, it's very off grey because of the white thrown on top. I can totally see what you mean by it, and I think it's horrible too!
More bulk? Daww, I like Zim skinny as a twig! xD I just think it adds to his feebleness. But wrist detail.. hmm... I tried to add a bit of shape to it when I was shading it, but I guess it's not really enough!
Yeah, you're not the first to complain about the arm xD I realised it too when I was colouring it, but I didn't bother fixing it because I was already so far into it. A lesson learned from me - do a better look through!

lol well if you think it looks poopy with the white overlay, then why did you do it?
i mean, if the people don't like it, then you can put a lighter one in scraps,
'cause i think it'd look much better darker, but, that's my opinion though
well, maybe add some concave a little bit at the start of the glove, or! the elbow?
and a convex tone just below the ridge of the wrist.
lol well either way, it looks lovely! and i'm jealous of how good it looks too *pokes*

Because I have a brighter monitor than a lot of people, so it looks all fine to me, but everyone else who views my art has a hard time seeing it with all the black. To serve my watchers, I had to fix it to their needs 
Oh crap.. I have no idea what a concave and convex tone is. I know what a concave and convex is in matter of their shape, but not the colour. Sorry about the ignorance

Oooh, like sort of make it less flat/smooth? I could do that.. I think xD It's hard with vectors. You can do it easy with a brush, but vectors and pen tooling, you use that sort of element.

General critique on the double! (As requested. 
Woot Irkens with spiky hair! 8D His antennae are hiding, yes? ( XD )
Nice work! Everything is very nice and smoooooth - much love. The colouring and shading is very nice and crisp.
Right now, with the pose you have him in, it's not very clear what he's doing. He's obviously activating something...and happy about it!...but, what?
With technological scenes like this, you can have a lot of fun playing around with neat-o effects. You could add all sorts of panels and such around him. On the contrare, adding too much chaos around him could ruin the impact he's already having. Instead, you could bring out the glow from Earth behind him and use it as an epic backlight to kind of 'frame' him (sharp highlights on the edges/extremities of his form) and make the lighting itself more interesting.
Also, it's not too clear what he's doing with his left arm. Is he really happy, does he have a muscle cramp, is he going to conquer the universe, is his eye itchy? Not sure. In an evil pose like this, you could curl his pointy little fingers into an evil little fist. (Like he's saying 'OOO! Look at meee! I'm evil and TOUGH and I LIKE IT! *insert evil Zim laugh here* 83 ' ) Or, to add a bit more of a 'creep' effect, you can flex his fingers out a little bit - anatomy-wise, you'll have to turn his palm to face his head a bit more.
Ha-ha, poor Earth - we're always being taken over, aren't we? Great piece! And like I said before, I love how crisp it is! (I love shiny, clear things. :3 )

Ahh, damn! I don't often do a description on what's happening in the scene, because I pray that it's good enough for people to understand what's going on. Yes, he's leaning over a control panel, about to activate something that is about to do something nasty to planet Earth - all in the safety of his ship up in space. I think he's going to activate.. hmm.. tsunami's to transform the continent of South America into an Irken symbol? 
Ah, like a light is coming from behind him? I considered that, and tried it, but it didn't look too right. I probably was doing it wrong. This though, was the first background I've done in a while.. I don't do backgrounds too well, I'm afraid. I'm afraid of backgrounds
Oh God, now that's embarrassing xD He's just sticking his arm up, about to do that crazy hand gesture. Gah, I was trying too hard with practicing with different poses and positions. I kind of think he's subtly pointing to the Earth too.
Oh seriously, the hands are more inwards? I never known that! About anatomy, yeah! If there was guide on it.. I'd be reading it now!

Ha-ha, alright, just wondering/pointing that out. It's obvious he's doing something mean and nasty to poor Earth, just not exactly...what. (Between you and I, he's totally secretly making a cup of coffee. 8D Lol, jk, jk!)
Ah, backgrounds, backgrounds, backgrounds - we all need help with backgrounds, don't we all?! 
They're just...challenging as to find out where to start, methinks. I mean, there's the subject, which is self-explanatory, but with a big backdrop of a forest, or space, or a city, or whatever, there's just so much more to worry about, it's hard to find a good point to tackle it.
You never knew that? Try it! Just stick your hand up (like...you're pointing to something behind you - similar to what Zim's doing.) Your palm will face towards your head. Next, try to make your hand do what Zim's is doing with the palm facing out - a bit tougher, yes? ^^ Natural positions are hard to work with, because sometimes it's the unnatural positions that look correct! It takes a lot of practice to nail these concepts, methinks. O.o

I like all the little star effects in the backgound. Also, the way that you've placed the empire symbol in the window and then remembered to place a shadow on the table makes it look very thorough.
I also love Zim's super pointy jacket collar. It amuses me so.

The stars where made by a certain shape tool in the program I used. You could change the size and shape of it, so I could get a difference (: Then I just glowed it.
Thank you (: I still don't know the logic behind the symbol though.. a freaky dark ghost taking the Irken symbol shape, or is it a giant floaty piece of black cardboard? Who knows. I just thought it looked neat to incorporate it there. Remind you that.. there is still an infiltration going on ;]
I'm really happy you noticed that to be a window! I was expecting a lot of people not to notice the reflective bits on the glass and just think it's just straight sky.
