Description I recently saw an antique japanese photo album on TV which had these gorgeous oval frames for each photo on every page (additionally, japanese illustrator Matsuo Hiromi whom I admire inspired this as well). I'm bad at frames and ornaments but I tried to achieve a similar appeal with this (as always, practice makes perfect!).

I'm thinking now, maybe I should've painted the blank space in a beige tone to make it look more vintage? What do you say?

I liked her face better when it was only outlines... but I'm pretty happy with the kimono and hair, that's why I didn't drop it. In case someone's interested, these are the original outlines before I coloured them (mirrored because it's a webcam photo): [link]

I agree that a beige or yellowish tint to add "age" to it would look really cool.

But it loks good as is too.

I think I'll add some beige to the background at next opportunity. Thanks for your opinion!
