Description
Darkness surrounded her as she ran as fast as she possibly could. Away from that place. Her surroundings became a blur as she powered every muscle she could. The burning, stinging pain in her tired body was a welcome distraction from the sight she had just left behind. She could swear she still heard the cries of terror and sadness ring in her ears. What kind of a sick, twisted creature would willingly do these things to innocent beings? She ran on. Rage. Guilt. Pain. She ignored it an ran on. All she wanted to hear were the trailing footsteps of her comrade behind her.Wait?
She stopped when she realized that she was alone. She turned fast and ran back to find her partner standing in a shallow creek, looking at his pained reflection.
"Zack? What's..."
"How did we just DO that? How could he possibly command us to do things for him like that? This is so evil and wrong. I just can't..."
"Zack," Sao said in a low voice as she met his gaze.
"You're in the Guard now. You no longer have a choice"

SO. This is a thingy I did for *FireofAnubis . She has a LOVELYFANTASTIC comic that YOU SHOULD READ. And she recently gave me the honor and pleasure of making a character for said lovelyfantastic comic. So I made a cougar/tiger lady named Sao. She's got a half-made refsheet, I just wanted to play Background <__<
Buh Zack's eyes aren't even. He doesn't *look* like Zack for some reason. All I can figure is that I scrunched him up too much. Sooo Anubis I owe you a better Zack picture at some point, but I hope you like it anyway, my darling! <3

COOL! it's awsome the shading, the work, the background awsome!! there's only one thing i have to say is the lion's mane. When a lion is running or any animal the hair moves aaround on the lion it looks to still if you didn't want it to move you still could've made some of it move but other than that it's a really good picture keep up the great work ^^

GREAT! cool the only thing is at first i don't now if the long stem things are grass or not but i love figuring things up so.....I give a a OKAY to that but the paw the shading underneath the paw looks like its right beside the tiger other than it being in the front because it don't see any shading under the paw and with the lion i don't see much shading under that either but still i think this picture deserves a 5/5 great job can't wait for more of your work! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="

First of all, THANK YOU for taking the time to do this! I really appreciate it! And all the suggestions you made were absolutely legit. I thought something looked off with Zack, and that's probably it! So thank you! The pawpads I already know about; they somehow snuck above the shading layer, so they never got shades >__>. And the tall green things are weird... tree... stem... things. No part of me wanted to do leaves, so I just did the trunks <__<. I plead some kind of fictional artistic license xD

My only issue with this is that the paw that's reaching towards the viewer doesn't look quite like a paw--the pads are too bright to go with the rest of the picture. They stand out far too much. Beyond that, I think it's excellent work.

I KNOWWW. Somehow the pink snuck above the shading layer. I tried to fix it but the pixels were so smallllll. And thank you for the opinion! It's appreciated!

Ugh,that's the worst, especially if you've already flattened the image. It's not horribly difficult to fix something like that, though--if you go over it with the same color as the shading level but in a lower opacity, you can eventually get it to look right. You just need to use a area-select tool to outline the area as you work in it, so you don't effect the rest of the picture and end up making the shading layer look too dark as you make the pads look right.
