Similar to the road shot I saw in your gallery this shot is also with similar composition principles but I am not too keen on them in this shot. Though with nature shots there are times then balance or symmetry helps I don't think that this is the case. Instead I think it makes the shot a bit dull. Nature scenes are created for experimenting with angles and I would have really liked to see some of that here.
The scene itself is wonderful and I imagine it must be a site to see in the wild

If you look carefully at the water, you'll see that the main part is without any details, it's simply white. This is how you recognize overexposed photo. Looking at the EXIF data, I'd suggest shutter speed value at 1/30 s in similar situations.

I'm not sure if this was asked or not, and I'm not up to digging through 100 comments to find the answer, soo...where was this taken? you're soo very fortunate to have found this waterfall. I love the fall colors. sigh. still makes me miss autumn.

What I really like about this is how it looks like the waterfall is a line down the middle, and it almost seems symetrical on both sides. awesome.

there is some great distance created with this shot. The angle and size of the stream really effects how the depth of the image is seen.
