If the internet was made in the 80's, there would have been absurd amounts of forums dedicated to Freddy Kruger fan VS. Jason Voorhees in fandom wars.

Meanwhile, Leatherface fans would be staring in confusion.

True.
Also, the sane Freddy fans and sane Jason fans would also be snickering from the sidelines too.

Also, hypothetically-speaking, had the internet been made in the '80s, there would have been billions of forums where fans of different slasher movie franchises start flame-wars with rival fandoms.

I shudder to think about the flame wars Star Wars and Star Trek fans would have had.

That too.
It would be a forum equivalent of those scenes in Fanboys where Trekkies and Warsies aggresively confront each other numerous times.

About the Captain Marvel Vs. Alita Battle Angel fandom rivalry, had the internet been made earlier, there would have been billions of forums about the Star Trek Vs. Star Wars fandom rivalry.

I once brought that up on another platform, too. Those would have been some pretty brutal arguments when both the original trilogy was being made and Trek's original cast was having their comeback in ST films during the 80s.

Yep.
By the way, just to let you know, I have this OC that I made in reference to the whole Captain Marvel VS. Wonder Woman thing:
ID Software Crossover OC: Neo-KnightA Polish-Irish-American man known as Bazyli Szczepan O'Connell (pronounced Bah-zee-lee Shh-teh-fawn O-con-nell).
He also goes by his code-name Neo-Knight, referring to the fact that he behaves like a modern-day knight in terms of personality and fighting style.
In terms of species, he is a magically-powered human.
His powers are superhuman strength, speed, durability, and leap as well as immortality, self-sustenance, superhuman immune system, superhuman metabolism, and superhuman senses of smell, taste, touch, sight, and hearing due to magical means.
His skills are swordsmanship, use of a shield, use of a bow and arrows, use of a crossbow and darts, horse-back riding, use of a knife, use of firearms, driving automobiles and motorcycles, combat tactics, martial arts, and writing.
In terms of personality, he is cocky and arrogant in terms of his skills and abilities, but he is also kind and compassionate towards other people to balance things out.
His universe is a shared universe with b

I'm not seeing anything substantial. Also, you would have to have been looking for my deviation this late in the game to find it, so you were intentionally looking for people who disagree with you about Captain Marvel.Β

Oddly enough, I honestly think that Carol Danvers, Wonder Woman, and Alita would make a GREAT team-up movie.
Carol brings the military skills and alien powers, Wonder Woman brings the diplomacy and magical powers, and Alita brings the cybernetics and street smarts.

On a side note, I consider Brie Larson, Rosa Salazar, and Gal Gadot to all be very sexy in different ways.
Gal Gadot is sexy in the hot milf sort of way.
Brie Larson, despite ironically being in her late 20's is sexy in the attractive college girl sense.
Rosa Salazar is, despite ironically being in her 30's, is sexy in the innocent girl next door who despite being sexy seems to be unaware of her own sexiness variety.

Personally, I consider Captain Marvel to be a 5 out of 10 movie.
Average.
However, I understand that the real reason Captain Marvel was successful was because it is part of the MCU.
Regardless of whether Captain Marvel was a bad, good, or great movie, or somewhere in between, many people were still gonna see an MCU movie due to MCU name recognition.
And I will NEVER be a jerk towards those who love the movie, and I will NEVER believe in impossible and ridiculous conspiracy theories either.

Quartering is one such pussy. In addition to blubbering about Brie Larson, he regularly does call-outs of people on YouTube all the time. But the time Pat Contri of Pat the NES Punk fame did it to him? Well, that sort of thing was suddenly bad.

I also love the fact that they're shouting for Carol to be replaced by Monica Rambeau. So... They got mad at Brie Larson for wanting more diversity, and now they're demanding she be replaced with a person who is part of that diversity. They have no idea how much they just played themselves.Β

One of them had a meltdown, because she saw that Brie Larson was enjoying herself at that new Star Wars theme park.
