I'm such a sucker for Evil!Sam, I could drool all over this picture if I didn't have manners. I really like how Sam has slouched shoulders, like he's defeated as well as the bleeding tendrils from the mirror. Outstanding job with the brushes.

Yes, you're right, he was supposed to look like that, like the whole situation was without a good solution. However for me the most heartbreaking part to do here was Dean holding a gun.Β

Love this piece. I love the defeated air and the way you can see in every line of their bodies that they're holding on to something that used to be so powerful and used to mean so much to them but somehow they've lost it and they just can't replace it. The only thing keeping them standing is a fool's hope and the realization that the moment one of them gives in, so will the other. So they must fight a destiny which they can not rewrite. And they'll go down together.
Absolutely stunning and bone-chilling at the same time.

I'm happy that you are able to find all those emotions in it. Most of the time when I draw, I don't really plan the outcome. I mean, especially when I work on something born out of emotions and not just a decorative piece that has to look pretty. And the emotions you named here were certainly there when I was painting it. I just didn't realize, they could be red from the picture afterwards. The more I'm grateful for your comment

Not like I know
Considering I was going through Sam's history and filling in some gaps in my fan art and the fact that at that point in season 2 he was once possessed by a demon and supposed to become one or something of similar dark kind, it's merely a coincidence.
But thank you for finding it awesomely creepy!

I honestly couldn't tell at first look if this was supposed to be Supernatural or Cal Leandros from Nightlife by Rob Thurman where Cal is paranoid about the Darkling haunting the mirrors. (Had to check your comments so yeah, since you mentioned Dean it's Supernatural XD ) There's so many parallels between those two series, and Supernatural even took things from Robs books too!
This perfectly captures what I saw in Cal more though because of the mirrors. Looks fantastic either way you think of it.
