Wow, what a fascinating little creature, beautiful too I make fractals, and you can definitely see Mother Nature's fractals in it, like a sweet little spiral
An excellent capture

is it a 1:1 ratio lens? Was it very expensive? I have the Nikon D3100 so I plan to buy either a macro lens or a close-up filter to start with

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ELKAPL In reply to Ecchikun [2011-01-23 13:48:02 +0000 UTC]

Yes 1:1! It's not very expencive lens, near 450$.

Beautiful!
What always confuses me about catepillars is that you can never tell which end is their head. (Unless they are moving of course.) The fuzziest and most colorfull end I think usually is actually the butt, even though it looks like a head. (Self defense against biting birds perhaps?)
