Like so many other shots, this was also unexpected - the child didn't want to be pictured, and her mom insisted.... that's how the tears got in. And a few minutes later - she started laughing again. Then the mother decided to wipe the tears
This is one of very few shots taken with the tears, the best of what I have IMHO.

Hmm. Children are so fascinating in their totally honest emotions. This child's face almost looks like hope, though, not tearful, reluctant obedience. Ah, well... either way, this is an excellent photo. Good job capturing it!

ouch...this is beautiful...a wonderful contrast between the very "happy" colors and then...the tear falling from the child's eye...reflecting opposing sadness...the eyes are just... heartbreaking... there is nothing more sincere then a child's expressions in my opinion...and nothing more emotionally touching then seeing a kid cry... it looks like tears of joy however... this photo has a LOT of sincerity to it!!!!!! really, fantastic job!!!! and iwould like to add that your other deviations are amazing, but this one marked me the most!!!!
