I really like Death Note, I've watched the anime and I'm soon done with the manga and I love it!! To bad my fave character, L, died halfway through, I wonder why my fave charas always dies before the end of a series:/ Anyway I wanted to draw L and then it turned out like this.The letters were a pain, the font, old english MT, is very hard to write with, I did the sketch in pencil and coloured in Sai as usual. I'm very satisfied that I atually managed to make them similiar to how the authors portray them, though I used references from the anime/manga/google.
I had trouble with L's hair since black is hard to draw for me but I like it in the end.

I don't agree that they're "total oppisites". If we're talking about apperance, yes, but otherwise, they're very similar. Unless ... by "total oppisites" you are refering to how they are on two different sides and working against each other (for most of Death Note).

Thanks^^ The title is meant for their appearance and how the picture is drawn. I agree that their way of thinking and analysing is very similiar also their personalities are very alike, with some key differences in the way they think of themselves and justice.

Heh, I have that too. Fave character always dying (way too early). My fave was Mello, damn I hated how he was killed off...
I think I like Yagami the best in this drawing
