I'm using the word 'young' here very loosely, he's about 45 in this image. I designed a young version of Dr. Kahl to use in my Father's Day comic , and I'm too proud of the idea I came up with that I decided I needed to draw a full-body version in color. At this age, he would have had a lot more hair, his eyebrows wouldn't have been as bushy, and his beard was only a little goatee. He's also missing his mustache, I figure around age 50 he would have stopped caring about shaving it off and left it to grow.
