Me last year: "2015 was a weird year. This one, I suspect, is going to be a bit lighter. Hopefully."
Oh, you sweet, summer child.

So yeah. It was not a lighter year. In fact I'd call April through November one of the lowest points in my life thus far. At the same time, though, when you've hit rock bottom (hello, November!) there's really nowhere to go but up. I'm clawing my way up out of the pit now. I've accepted what I can't change and I'm ready to change what I can.

2016 was a year of break-downs and breakthroughs, and while I'm not terribly hopeful for an easier 2017, I'm at least confident that I'll be strong or stubborn enough to get through it and heal from whatever damage I take.
