OMG, Fushigi Yuugi fanart! XD! Fushigi Yugi is one of those shows that I'm addicted to despite the fact that I dislike almost everything in it. Anyway, I really really liked Nakago for a while, he was such a great villain! Until recently, that is. Anyway, he's really fun to draw, I may have to do more. The scanner chopped alot from this pic. In reality Nakago is in the center and the dragon is wrapping all around him, and you can see both shoulders and all the way down to the waist. But this was all that would fit in the scanner. Sorry.Btw, I think my colored pencils and I are starting to agree with eachother now ^^.

Oooh, now this is one of the most interesting Nakago fanarts I've seen. ^_^ The whole fingering-Seiryuu bit is what I find really cool, and it gives a certain kind of mood and flow to the pic. Also, I love how you did his hair.

I really like this piece. I think I like his hair the best, just because it's so unusual from pretty much every other depiction of him ever. Also, the coloring is really, really nice.
This is kind of a random request, but I run a Nakago shrine called azure (www.geocities.com/azure_gaze/) and I was wondering if I could feature this piece in the fanart section. I would credit, of course, and if you wanted, provide a link back here. I would really appreciate it.

The background is awesome and I love the aura-ish bit flowing from his hand. I can never pull off stuff like that. For some reason, I just like the expression on his face. It's just...cool.
And I agree with you...No matter how much you dislike stuff in FY, you just can't stop watching it. "Oh My GOD! That was...no! That was stupid! THIS IS STUPID! ...I need to buy the next volume now." XD

That "aura-ish bit flowing from the hand" is actually more of the dragon. You can't see it in the scan, but the dragon goes behind Nakago and a little ways past his head, then curls and flows down into his hand, drapes on his arm, curls around behind him, then comes up a little on the other side. You can probably see part of the tail in the lower right corner.

It's ok to be nosy :3. I just saw where Tamahome supposedly died and Miaka (idiotstupidlittle#^%*@) is stuck in Tomo's illusion. Ewwww, Tomo is so gross! But I think I'm gonna go insane. The entire series is out on tape, but the dvds are still coming out (awww, I gotta wait?). Eeeeks, the Fushigi Yuugi Genbu manga is coming out really soon ><. But I wanna hear about byakko *kittykitty*. But I'm really confused about the Seiryu warriors. I can only count six ><. There's Nakago, Soi, Suboshi, Amiboshi, Aishitare, and Tomo (omg where's number seven? Did I forget him or is he not here yet?). Gah, I want to cosply as Hotohori sometime. Uh-oh, I'm kinda rambling, aren't I? *shuts up*

I say the miniskirt line all the time at home! But I would never wear a skirt >< bleh. The "I love dogs" line is my favorite. And I have a friend who looks kinda like Ed, so I'm hoping she'll cosplay as him. Actually, now that I think about it... if I made Hotohori's red costume I could probably make it reversible and switch between Nuriko and hotohori :3. Nuriko's costume would look quite a bit different, but I bet I could get away with it. And from where I'm sitting now I won't be able to do Roy in time *ponders*.
